COVID-19 Corona Virus and Events

We are now noticing that some of the Kink and BDSM events are either rescheduling or cancelling all together with upcoming events in March and April. Remember to check with your venue and event if you are planning on traveling to these events to make sure they are still happening.
Also be be careful when hooking up with others during this time, and its best to stay in small groups and not gather in large crowds. Here is the CDC recommendations on how to keep yourself safe from the virus.
Older adults and people who have severe underlying chronic medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness. Please consult with your health care provider about additional steps you may be able to take to protect yourself.
Know How it Spreads
Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. There is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus.The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.
Take steps to protect yourself
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. If you are NOT sick: You do not need to wear a facemask unless you are caring for someone who is sick (and they are not able to wear a facemask). Clean and disinfect Clean AND disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, counter tops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks.If surfaces are dirty, clean them: Use detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection. Alcohol solutions. Ensure solution has at least 70% alcohol.Other common EPA-registered household disinfectants. We know that its a sucky thing to have to stay away and not go to our favorite Kink or BDSM Events, but its also the responsible thing to do if this virus keeps spreading to people who have bad immune systems. Its a major thing to take into consideration. Hopefully this is under control before Pride events start to kick off in May. Just make sure to check your event that your going to even up to the day that you will start travel to make sure you are not facing any delays. If you are traveling over seas check into the various travel bans in effect and various countries quarantine procedures. Would hate to see any of you get to your destination and then not be able to travel back to the country for a couple of weeks.
